Barbie’s Be You is an interactive experience that draws on personal aspirations of past and present. It urges museum-goers of all ages to reflect Inspired by the Barbie and the Rockers playset, it highlights Barbie’s rich history as a pop culture phenomenon. It urges museum-goers of all ages to reflect on what Barbie means to them in order to visualise their own dreams through drawing. This experience is playful and personal, as the space grows through each individual’s iteration. Thus, the ethos of Barbie is widened with this experience— she is not just a doll, but much more.
